Deepak Banker

Deepak Banker has been a dynamic entrepreneur in the manufacture of textile machinery in India. He has been chairman and managing director of Kunal Engineering Company Limited, with distinction and has made this company a leader in the industry.

He has been associated with numerous Trade and Professional bodies, including Indo-German of Commerce, Hindustan Chamber of Commerce(as a president), Madras Chamber of Commerce,Textile Machinery Manufactures Association(as chairman), Asia-Pacific Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Engineering Export Promotion Council and South India Textile Research Association.

He has been an the management of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry(FICCI) since 1979, as a Member of its executive committee in 1992 he was the president of the all India Organization of Employers. For these years 1993-1995 he was a chairman of India-Singapore, India-Thailand, India-Malaise and India-Indonesia joint Business Councils of FICCI. He is currently the President of Indian Council Of Arbitration.

For the years 1995-1996 he has been elected President of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), India's apex Organization for Trade, Commerce and Industry.

Deepak Banker by his dynamism and qualities of leadership, has distinguished himself as an Old Boy of The Scindia School.

The Scindia School confers an Deepak Banker, the Madhav Award, as an Old Boy of Eminence for the year 1995.
