Kumar Khandelwal has been a pioneer
in the Indian electronics industry.
During the 60s, when this industrial
activity was still in its nascent stage
in India, he, with his foresight, envisaged
its tremendous potential and set up
a project with some of the best electronics
technology leaders in the world.
As a recognition if his contribution
to this important industrial activity,
he was elected to serve the All India
Manufacturer's Organization (A.I.M.O.)
in various capacities including that
of the chairman of the Electronic council.
He was elected president of A.I.M.O.
for 1986-87. Under his imaginative leadership
this premier All India body expanded
its activities to a number of new areas
in order to serve the interest of Indian
industry and the nation.
Currently, Krishna Kumar Khandelwal,
is a member of the advisory Board on
Electronics under the department of
electronics, Government of India. He
is also a member of the high powered
Working Group on participation of the
private sector in power generation appointed
by the union Energy Minister.
Krishna Kumar Khandelwal, by his dynamism,
leadership and foresight, has distinguished
himself as an Old Boy of the Scindia
School.
The Scindia School confers on Krishna
Kumar Khandelwal the Madhav Award, as
an Old Boy of Eminence, for the year
1988.
