Rajendra Singh Pawar has been the Founder of the National Institute Of Information Technology Ltd,a publicly listed information technology services corporation,founded in India in 1981. He is currently it's chairman.

NIIT specialized NIIT consulting, software development, systems integration and training, education. The company today employees over 3500 people worldwide-with operation in over 25 countries including China, Hongkong, India, Japan, Malasiya, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom and USA.

In India it has been ranked as No. 1 in Information Technology Services and is No. 3 in the entire Indian IT industry. The blueprint for NIIT was convinced and archived by Rajendra Singh Pawar in 1981.

It has transformed itself into a global knowledge player duly acknowledged by their peers in the industry. The company now stands as one of India's top 20 most valued Indian companies with a market capitalization of over 1 billion U.S.Dollar. NIIT became the first Indian Computer Training and Education Organization to have received the International quality certification-ISO 9001

Rajendra Singh Pawar by his dynamism and dedication has distinguished himself as an Old Boy Of the Scindia School.

The Scindia School confers on Rajendra Singh Pawar the Madhav Award as an Old Boy Of Eminence for the year 1999.
