Ramesh
Chauhan has been a dynamic
entrepreneur in the Indian soft drinks
industry. During the 60's he worked
on Research & Development energy
saving in the processing of fruits
and fruit drinks. Later he pioneered
the manufacture of a soft drink concentrate
in India without foreign collaboration.
These drinks so successful that it
resulted in his company being able
to compete in the world market ,as
well as giving franchises abroad.
Later he pioneered the manufacture
in India, of machinery for soft drinks.
For these efforts on his part ,he
received the award outstanding export
performance in processed foods from
the government of India. He also received
the united nations council of India-youth
award in 1986, for developing local
entrepreneurship, self reliance and
developing the soft drinks industry
in India.
He has also been involved in the
setting up of and running the Chauhan
institute of science ,Bombay and a
charitable hospital in Pardi , Bulsar.
He had another 'first' to his credit
when he commenced publishing the "Limca
Book of Records" in India.
After many years of being leader
in the soft drink market in India,
he has became a name recognized the
world over with his Indian products.
Ramesh Chauhan by his dynamism and
invasiveness, has distinguished himself
as an Old Boy of The Scindia School.
The Scindia School confers on Ramesh
Chauhan, the Madhav award , as an
Old Boy of eminence for the year 1993.
