The German Department took initiative to form the German society “Schiller Gesellschaft” under the guidance of Mr. Gopal Chaturvedi in the year 2003 and came up with three path breaking steps in teaching German. This society pioneered three methods for the students of Scindia School: The Wall Magazine “Scindia Diese Woche, The On-line Magazine “Scindia Diese Woche” and the half yearly Magazine “Zeitgeist”. The aims of the society have been divided into academic and cultural activities -
Academic activities: To provide the boys a platform where they can express their views. To make boys read and write in German.
To conduct quizzes To enable the boys to recite German Poems. To conduct German essay competitions. To encourage the boys towards Creative writing.
Cultural activities: To conduct cartoon cum graffiti competitions. To produce a Wall – Magazine (weekly) To perform plays in German. To conduct the German Master Mind program. To know about the Germanic Culture. To show German Movies. To celebrate the Schiller Evening. To learn German Songs
