School hosts Under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy Cricket

The year takes a promising onset for sports enthusiasts as The Scindia School hosts 4 days Board Trophy Cricket Match at the Madhav Cricket Ground in association with Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association. In a recent advancement of creating state of the art, world class sports facilities at the school. Under-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy Cricket match hosted from 3rd to 6th January 2017 between Karnataka and Vidarbha. Karnataka won the toss and elected to field first. Vidarbha scored 370 in 123 overs in its first inning. Aman Mokahande scored 93 and Harsh Dubey scored 83 Runs respectively. Shubhang Hegde from Karnataka took 6 wickets. In response to the big score, Karnataka got out at 243 in 122 overs. In the second inning Vidarbha scored 250 Runs and Karnataka 154 for 4 Wickets as a result Vidarbha took one inning lead in a draw match.
The Match Officials were BCCI penal Umpire Mr Amit Bansal and Mr Arun Kumar Basa and Match Referee was Mr PMS Reddy. On this occasion Principal Dr. Madhav Deo Saraswat and Secretary GDCA Mr. Ravi Patankar welcomed all the players and BCCI Match officials at The School and conveyed best wishes to the Teams.
