Reunion of Batch of 1985 and Ek Sham Shaheedon ke Naam
17 August 2025
On 14th August, 2025, The Scindia School joyfully welcomed back the Batch of 1985, whose return filled the campus with warmth, laughter, and cherished memories. The day’s highlight was a thought-provoking talk show by the batch of 1985 anchored by Mr Sanjay Moolji, featuring Mr Harsh Vardhan Dhanwatey, tiger conservationist, Dr Manish Baijal, renowned surgeon, Mr Mushtaq Ahmed, senior administrative officer in Jammu, and Mr Yashwant Mahadik, senior healthcare industry leader. In a candid and inspiring exchange, they reflected on how their alma mater shaped them long before their professional success—instilling social intelligence, emotional balance, self-discipline, empathy, adaptability, and critical thinking. They emphasised that true wealth is built on character and human connection. The session concluded with a gracious vote of thanks by Mr Sharad Singhi.
The celebrations flowed into a spectacular evening of music with Ek Sham Shaheedon Ke Naam, a heartfelt tribute for Independence Day. The Desh Bhakti Geet Mala opened with the Scindia Brass Band’s stirring Teri Mitti Mein Mil Jawa, filling the air with patriotic pride. This was followed by a soulful instrumental orchestra, its melodies evoking deep emotion, and the rousing Suno Gaur Se Duniya Walo, which had the audience clapping in unison. The Scindia Psyx Band then delivered an energetic Vande Mataram – Maa Tujhe Salaam, lifting the spirit of the evening. This was followed by a dramatic and musical rendition of Maa Tujhe Salaam, performed and acted by a spirited group of boys, leaving an unforgettable mark on the audience.
On 15th August, the Old Boys enthusiastically participated in the Independence Day celebrations. They spiritedly marched with the house contingents on the Madhav Pavillion. This was followed by a visit to their houses and sprint with the students on the field in the forenoon.
