Reunion of the Golden Jubilee Batch of 1976

The Assembly Hall was suffused with warmth and quiet emotion as the Reunion Batch of 1976 returned to their alma mater for an evening of remembrance, reflection, and reconnection on 25th January. After the customary prayers, and musical performances by young Scindians to welcome the Old Boys, Mr Dipak Haksar, representing his batch, took to the podium and warmly shared that thirty-three members of the Batch of 1976 had gathered from far and wide, including four from overseas, answering the enduring call of homecoming. Speaking on behalf of his batch, he reflected on shared journeys, nostalgia of classrooms, enduring friendships, and the quiet pride of returning to familiar halls. The Assembly Hall was filled with a sense of reverence as a moment of silence was observed in memory of departed friends, a poignant reminder of bonds that transcend time. The Principal then welcomed the Old Boys and appreciated how the School had given them the courage and confidence to chart uncharted paths, shaping lives rooted in values and conviction. The evening continued with a reflective panel discussion by the batch of 1976 on The Role of School in Shaping Character and Life Values—through history and nature, team spirit and camaraderie, and discipline and conviction. The discussion drew upon the rich experiences of Mr Rajan Jain, Mr Vijay Jaini, Ms Kamal Khar, Mr Vivek Sarkar, Colonel Ravi Prasad, and Mr Sarvesh Malhotra, each offering thoughtful perspectives on the School’s lasting influence. The gathering concluded with the school song and vote of thanks by the SSP. It was a celebration of memory and meaning—of friendships renewed, values reaffirmed, and the timeless truth that home is never left behind.
