Cutlery and Culinary Workshop for the Junior School
06 August 2026

School Prefects Hansiddh Kothari and Sarthak Agrawal conducted a Cutlery and Culinary Workshop for students of Classes VI to VIII during their workshop periods. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the fundamentals of dining etiquette, proper cutlery usage, and basic culinary skills through engaging, hands-on activities.
The sessions focused on the correct use of different types of cutlery, appropriate table manners, and the importance of etiquette in both formal and informal dining settings. Students also participated in simple culinary activities designed to foster confidence, independence, teamwork, and a sense of responsibility.
The workshop was met with enthusiastic participation, with students actively engaging in demonstrations and practical activities. Its impact was evident beyond the sessions, with teachers observing a noticeable improvement in students' dining habits. Many students have since begun using cutlery more confidently and correctly during mealtimes.
The workshop was a valuable learning experience, equipping students with practical life skills that will serve them well in everyday life as well as in formal social settings. It also provided an excellent opportunity for senior students to take on a mentoring role and share their knowledge and experience with their younger peers.
