POCSO and PoSH Workshops

On 25th April 2026, the school organised awareness workshops on the POCSO (2012) Act and PoSH for its teachers, administrative staff, and non-teaching staff in the assembly hall. The initiative reflected the school’s continued commitment to creating a safe, informed, and responsible environment for every child. The resource person for the sessions was Mr. Manish Gupta of Buddhi World.
The first workshop focused on the amendments to the POCSO Act and highlighted the crucial role schools and teachers play in preventing and addressing child sexual abuse. The session commenced with the screening of the film Komal, which sensitively portrayed various dimensions of child abuse and helped generate meaningful awareness. Discussions also covered the Childline helpline number 1098, the legal provisions under POCSO, and child-friendly procedures for reporting and intervention. Through practical case studies, the resource person explained important sections related to reporting, false reporting, and the process of examination and investigation.
In the afternoon Mr Gupta conducted a workshop on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace. The session focused on building awareness around workplace conduct, legal frameworks, and the importance of creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
