Round Square Collaboration 2026
05 February 2026

The Scindia School inaugurated the Round Square Collaboration on the morning of 29 January 2026, marking the beginning of a three-day programme being hosted from 29 to 31 January 2026. Six schools—Shri Ram School, Moulsari; YPS Patiala; Sunbeam School, Lahartara; British Co-Ed School, Patiala; and SKV—are participating in the collaboration, which offers insight into the School’s ongoing Ecological Project on the historic Fort.
The inauguration ceremony commenced with the lighting of the lamp. The Principal formally welcomed the Chief Guest, Mr Rakesh Khatri, popularly known as the Nest Man of India, who has created over ten lakh nests to protect urban birds and preserve India’s environmental legacy.
In his address, Principal Mr Ajay Singh welcomed the delegates and invited them on a journey to understand, empower, and strengthen their relationship with nature. Emphasising that every plant, bird, and animal plays a vital role in maintaining ecological balance, he highlighted how human behaviour continues to adversely impact the environment and stressed the need to learn from nature’s patterns to move towards sustainability.
Rooted in its unique location on a 6th-century Fort, The Scindia School’s Ecological Park project aims to rewild neglected spaces and promote sustainable practices. During the collaboration, students will engage with key focus areas including rewilding, waste management, and regenerative farming through expert interactions and hands-on activities such as seed bombing, plantation, and compost making.
The first day of the programme had sessions involving nest making, making amla candies and visit to Fort Biosphere.
