Triveni Sarangi Sangam on Basant Panchami
28 January 2026

The Scindia School hosted Triveni Sarangi Sangam in the assembly hall, a rare and soulful musical evening celebrating the sacred confluence of tradition, rhythm, and spirit. Held on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, the event added a deeper cultural significance to the evening.
Renowned sarangi maestros Ustad Abdul Majeed Khan, Shri Abdul Hamid Khan, and Shri Salman Khan enthralled the audience with a seamless blend of slow, medium, and fast tempos across musical octaves, reflecting the true essence of Indian classical music. Accompanied on tabla by Ustad Abdul Hanif Khan and Shri Shahrukh Khan, the ensemble rendered Raag Yaman and Raag Basant with finesse, along with evocative sarangi interpretations of timeless melodies from Pakeezah.
Students listened in rapt attention, enjoying the expressive power of the sarangi. The Principal highlighted how the confluence of Basant Panchami, Netaji’s ideals, and this traditional Indian instrument inspired young minds to value and celebrate India’s rich cultural heritage.
