Visit of H.E. the Ambassador of South Africa

H.E. Ambassador of South Africa, Prof. Anil Sooklal, accompanied by his wife, was on a two-day visit to The Scindia School. During the visit, Prof. Sooklal engaged in detailed discussions with the Principal, Mr Ajay Singh, on the rich legacy of The Scindia School and its academic philosophy, curriculum, and holistic approach to education. The school’s vision of nurturing future leaders—viewed as a meaningful contribution to a rapidly changing world—was a key focus of the dialogue. The discussions also explored opportunities for closer engagement between educational institutions of India and South Africa, with an emphasis on mutual learning and shared experiences. Prof. Sooklal was briefed on the school’s forward-looking initiatives aimed at adapting to evolving educational needs while staying rooted in its core values. During the visit, Prof. Sooklal interacted with students, sharing insights drawn from his extensive experience in diplomacy and education. The guests were particularly appreciative of the students’ creative pursuits, showcased through various hobbies and societies, which reflected their talent, discipline, and all-round development. Prof. Sooklal and his wife also visited the city of Gwalior, where they experienced its rich cultural and historical heritage.
