Visit of His Excellency Mr Reuven Azar, the Israeli Ambassador to India

The Scindia School had the honour of hosting His Excellency Mr Reuven Azar, the Israeli Ambassador to India, for an intellectually enriching interaction with students. His Excellency spoke on the evolution of India–Israel relations, highlighting the transformation of diplomatic ties since 1992, shared democratic values, innovation, and India’s role as one of Israel’s most significant strategic partners in Asia. He emphasised collaboration in technology, agriculture, education, security, start-ups, artificial intelligence, water management, and agricultural innovation.
The interactive session saw students raise well-researched questions on India’s role as a rising global power, the impact of high-level diplomatic visits including the anticipated visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Israel, the relevance of the United Nations in today’s world, and Israel’s relationship with the United States. His Excellency described India as a stabilising force in global affairs, stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy, and highlighted the need for reforms in international institutions while reaffirming their continued relevance.
Encouraging critical thinking and nuanced perspectives on global politics, the session inspired students to engage deeply with international relations, making the visit both informative and memorable.
