Workshop on Understanding Environmental Challenges

A workshop was conducted on 2nd December 2025 under the aegis of Fort Biosphere team for the students of Classes 6 to 9 and Class 11 in the Assembly Hall. The session aimed to deepen students’ understanding of contemporary environmental challenges and to inspire them to adopt responsible practices in their daily lives. Mr. S. D. Singh, a renowned environmentalist with extensive experience in ecological research and community outreach, served as the resource person for the workshop. His insightful explanations and inspiring anecdotes made the session highly impactful, prompting students to reflect on their role as responsible stewards of the environment. The workshop focused on three critical domains of environmental concern—Water, Soil, and Air. Each topic was explored in an age-appropriate and engaging manner, highlighting both global perspectives and issues relevant to the local context. Students learned about the causes and consequences of pollution, the importance of conservation, and simple ethical choices individuals can make to safeguard natural resources. Interactive activities, question–answer rounds, and real-life examples with interactive questions helped students connect theoretical knowledge with practical action.
