Says Ansel Adams, the American photographer and environmentalist, “You don't take a photograph, you make it.” This is precisely what the Scindia School Photography Society aims to achieve.
From the basics of photography, to developing films, all is taught here. The society has 8H and 12H dark rooms with safe lights, Black and White enlarger and all necessary equipment. Each boy gets his own S.L.R Camera. The Society also houses a mini studio with latest equipments such as Problitz 300D lights, used for clicking portraits.
The Boys are taken for outings to Gwalior’s heritage sites and nearby places. In addition to photography, they get to meet people and learn about their lifestyles.
Every year the department puts up an exhibition on the Founder's Day and the best photograph is showcased on this day. The School is planning a coffee table book “Scindia Clicks” which will include some great photographs clicked by the students.
