Mr Pawan Kumar Mali

He joined The Scindia School on 6th July, 2017, as a Multimedia and Web Technology Teacher. Mr Mali has completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded, and Master’s in Computer Science from SMU. He attended ANIIT at NIIT Hyderabad.

His experience in different organisations, runs for over a decade, wherein apart from teaching he handled the responsibility of being a System Administrator and Trainer. In his previous assignment, he worked as an ICT Teacher and ROBOTICS trainer. Under his leadership his school team participated and performed commendably in the National Robotics Olympiad, World Robotics Olympiad, BOTBALL Robot OLYMPIAD sponsored by NASA and I-ROBOT.

Mr Aloke Ghosh

He is a quiet and unassuming worker who has been able to mould the creative minds of young Scindians. With a tremendous talent for stone carving, wood carving, painting, outdoor sculpture, and cartooning, Mr Ghosh is the undisputed choice for all major creative assignments undertaken by the school. He also contributes very meaningfully in areas like designing cover pages for some of the major publications, stage decoration and the makeup of the actors for theatrical performances.

His sincerity and dedication are appreciated by all, and the brilliant work that the students produce under his guidance is admired by parents and faculty alike. His greatest joy is to see some of his promising students take up an art related profession.

Mr Vishesh Sahai

Mr Vishesh Sahai started his professional career as an Economics teacher with The Scindia School in 2001, soon after completing his Post-Graduation in Economics. He also completed his B.Ed. from IGNOU in 2008. He was the Housemaster of Ranoji House.
Mr Sahai likes to make friends and loves travelling. He is a keen sportsman with special interest in Yoga, Tennis, Cricket and Swimming. He also likes to sing and play the Guitar. His love for cooking led him to initiate the ‘Food and Hospitality’ hobby in school, which is now much sought-after. He was the Staff Editor of the school’s fortnightly newsletter – Review; perhaps the only one outside of the English Department ever. He was the Master in-charge of Tennis, is a member of the International Exchange committee and the Round Square committee. His students like him for his emotional connectedness and colleagues find in him a sincere and trustworthy friend. He describes himself as somebody who never regrets the past and always looks ahead in life. He wants the students to be away from the ‘rat race’ and instead become lifelong learners in fields of their own interest. The wonderful life on the fort and the satisfaction of contributing in the lives of youngsters motivates him to be a teacher.

Mr Akash Sharma

He joined The Scindia School as faculty of Life Science in the year 2006. A gold medallist in Botany, Mr Sharma has a keen interest in the flora and fauna of the Fort. A natural outcome of this was his active involvement in the Eco Club. Mr Sharma, along with his students, has explored all corners of Fort and has succeeded in promoting environmental consciousness within school.

A much-loved teacher the lively explanation of the lessons in his classes goes a long way in kindling the interest of his students in Biology. He also regularly organises educational visits to places of scientific interest to complement classroom learning.

Mr Sharma is also the Master in charge of Tennis since and he constantly motivates the boys to give in their best to the sport.

He also had the opportunity to go to the Woodbridge School, Suffolk, UK, for a Teacher Exchange Program.

Ms Raksha Siriah

She joined The Scindia School in 1996 as a member of the Department of Hindi. She has a master’s degree in Hindi and has also done B.Ed. She served as the Housemaster of Kanerkhed House and after having completed her tenure she worked in the capacity of mentor of Mahadji House. Apart from her academic duties she involves herself in preparing students for debates, elocutions and dramatics, an activity she has begun to enjoy a lot. Her indefatigable energy and zeal make a very significant impact in the lives of the students.

Ms Siriah is also passionate about adventure activities and has been a proud member of 10 mountaineering and 10 cycling expeditions. With simplicity and honesty as her guiding mantra it is the love of her students which keeps her constantly motivated. She wishes to see the Scindians with a distinct identity and working for the betterment of society.

Mr Gopal Chaturvedi

He is a teacher of German in the Faculty of Foreign languages. He also has an experience of more than two decades.

Mr Chaturvedi is the dynamic House Master of Jayappa House and is also the exchange coordinator of the school. He is a member of the Indo German Teachers Association and his passion for his subject has always been a gateway to national and international exposure for German students. He has successfully organized a few editions of the International German Youth Camp in school, under the aegis of the Goethe Institute, New Delhi. He is the force behind the fruitful and collaborative programmes with a partner school in Germany. These projects provide a platform for rich cultural exchange and academic exposure to both German and Indian students. He is the mentor of the annual German Magazine, ‘Zeitgeist’, and the proud author of two books; Kinderwelt published by Goyal Saab and Arbeitsbuch fur Anfanger published by Omkar publication.

His other interests are playing chess and visiting new places.

Mr Shailesh Agarwal

Mr Shailesh Agarwal, from the faculty of Commerce, has been working with the Scindia School since December 2010. He has a master’s degree in Commerce and has also qualified the prestigious SLET exam of Jharkhand, conducted by the Jharkhand Public Service commission. Mr Agarwal has a rich 15 years experience of working in various reputed schools in different parts of the country.

He also has a passion for exploring new places and loves listening to music. As the Master in Charge of the Business Bee Club of the school he has been able to provide a platform for the future entrepreneurs.

An excellent teacher he has also received a letter of appreciation from the Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India. His desire is to contribute meaningfully to the lives of students so that they shine in whichever field they choose for themselves.

Mr Arun Sharma

He is the Metal Work Instructor at The Scindia School. Mr Sharma completed the ITI Trader Machinist Composite Course in the year 1988. Subsequently, he underwent a one-year Apprenticeship Training in CIMMCO (Central India Machinery Manufacturing Company Limited) followed by a short stint in the same organisation. Thereafter he ran his own metal works unit for eight years before joining the school in the year 2005. He is a great craftsman who has been guiding the children to craft artistic and utilitarian metal workpieces.

The students find in him a true mentor who motivates and inspires them and brings out their latent creativity.

Ms Kirti Srivastava

She has a master’s degree in Education and English. Ms Srivastava has done her B.Ed and has two decades of teaching experience in various institutions. She is also the proud recipient of an award by “The Times of India” on Teachers’ Day in 2008 for her excellent rapport with students. She was a mass communication teacher at IIIT Allahabad and has trained students in the art of facing interviews. She is associated with IMTP, a Chennai based institute that has a track record of proven excellence in preparing students for IELTS and GRE. She represented her state as the best cadet and was sent to OTS Chennai for a special training camp. She has done her “C certificate “with “AYE grade” and participated in the Republic Day parade in 1998. She has also received the bronze medal under the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

A passionate educator, she believes in teaching beyond books, in order to nurture good human beings.

Ms Sneha Bhagat

She has completed her master’s in English and B.Ed from the University of Delhi. Other than academics, Ms Bhagat has interests in dramatics, cultural activities and art. She believes in the holistic development of learners and that every learner is unique in his/her own way. Her idea of education is that co-curricular activities and academics go hand in hand. She integrates lessons with life skills and to enable students to realize their dreams and ambitions, to lead successful and happy lives.

Ms Ritu Guglani

Ms Ritu Guglani, has recently joined the School and comes with an experience of 19 years of teaching French. She has a diplôme du fle del’ université du Mans.
She has been an HOD, French for 15 years in Aravali International School, Faridabad. She has been a head examiner for CBSE Class X examination for French and Sports evaluation. She is also a certified examiner for DELF exams. Moreover, she has worked as a resource person in a renowned publishing house. She has completed a 15 days’ training programme in France for French language trainers for which she had attained a scholarship. She has hosted Bonjour India Event during the All India Inter School French Festival in collaboration with French embassy and Institute Francais. Though she has a quiet and unassuming persona, she has always enjoyed a great rapport with her students. She loves to read, travel and listen to music.

Mr Jagdish Joshi

Mr Jagdish Joshi from the faculty of Hindi holds a Master’s Degree in Hindi and Sociology. He has also done an M.Phil and is a certified Cambridge University Diploma Teacher with a B.Ed Degree to his credit. As a passionate
educator for two decades Mr Jagdish Joshi has a lot to offer to the School.

His vast experience in different residential schools is the biggest asset to The Scindia School. In his previous assignments, he has shouldered various academic and pastoral care responsibilities like those of an IB Examiner, Head of the Department (Hindi), and also a Housemaster. Mr Joshi has represented the District in Volleyball, in his college days, and is also adept at playing squash. He is often present with the students on the sports field, during evening games. He has an eye for perfection. He wishes to instil the same spirit and attitude amongst the students.

Mr Akhil K Lakshmanan

He joined The Scindia School in November 2019 as a Computer Faculty. Mr Lakshmanan holds an M.B.A. and M.C.A. from Bharathiar University and Mahatma Gandhi University respectively. He is also pursuing M.A. in English from IGNOU. With 7 years of teaching experience, he motivates the children in learning the concepts of programming and developing computational thinking. Other than teaching his interests are music, cricket, reading, and traveling.

Mr Saurabh Kaul

He has a rich experience of working with an internationally reputed school in Jakarta before joining The Scindia School and he was teaching English Literature & Language in the Middle Year Programme and Diploma Programme. Mr Kaul has a total teaching experience of eighteen years. His keen interest in English theatre and plays prove to be vital in the overall language development of children. He believes in working on quality and excellence through innovation & continuous improvement.

Mr Satyakam Singh Tomar

He has joined the school on July 01, 2017 as Sanskrit Faculty. He is a Post Graduate in Sanskrit from Sampoornanand Sanskrit Vidyalaya, Varanasi. He has cleared the Teachers’ Eligibility Test UP. Mr Tomar has 10 years’ teaching experience in different schools and is an active member of the Sanskrit Sambhashan Shivir & Sanskrit Bharti.

Mr George Varghese

Mr George Varghese is equipped with a substantial work experience of 32 years and has worked in various institutions such as Bhartiyam Vidya Niketan, Gwalior, Sehwag International School, Jhajjar, St. Francis Inter College, Hathras, UP and Sanjay Ghodawat International School, Kolhapur. He is qualified with a remarkable triple MA in English, Sanskrit and Malayalam, a B.Ed., PGDCA and is a Certified AI Hygiene Practitioner. He is a service-oriented educator with a deep sense of empathy and compassion. He loves to travel.

Mr Ganpat Swaroop Pathak

Mr. Ganpat Swarup Pathak has worked in various schools for a quarter of a century. Besides being a teacher of Hindi, he is also an author and has the credit of publishing two books. Mr. Swarup has been closely associated with Theatre, Service Projects and Round Square. As a Hindi language teacher, he wishes to contribute to academic as well as other spheres of life in a boarding school.

Mr Manas Mukhoti

He brings with him an experience of almost two decades. He has taught students of CBSE, ISC, ICSE and IB boards across India. Mr Mukhoti has done Masters in Economics (with International Trade and Econometrics as Specialization) with DCA and B.Ed. He is also qualified in College Service Commission Exam (SLET) accredited by UGC with Mathematical Economics as a Special paper. Earlier, he has worked as a Lecturer in Economics in J.V.M. Meheta College, Airoli, Navi Mumbai and in Sankar Narayan College, Bhayandar, West Mumbai. Before joining The Scindia School, he was working as the Chair of Economics (HOD, Economics) in The Assam Valley School, Assam. He has also been an IB examiner for Economics for last 6 years and is known for igniting a drive in his students to excel.

Ms Niharika Kulsrestha

She has 23 years of teaching experience and joined The Scindia School in 2006 with a teaching experience of 14 years. Ms Kulsrestha has a Master’s degree in Physics and Education but her biggest and a ‘dream come true achievement’ was securing the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship by the United States Government. This offered her the chance to teach in an American school for a period of five months.

An avid reader that she is, very few English and Hindi classics and contemporary fiction have escaped her read-through. Ms Kulshrestha’s creative writing escapades find their expressions in her blog As a teacher, her greatest motivation is the respect and love she gets from the students and parents, and the belief that every child has something special that can be built upon. A multitalented lady, her other interests and areas of engagement are conducting the quiz for the Middle Group and mentoring the students for the Model United Nations.

Mr Somarajan K S

He has joined The Scindia School in August 2016. He has a Master’s degree in History and English Literature, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Law. Mr Somarajan has been in the teaching profession for 15 years in various institutions. He has worked as a Lecturer at Sherubtse College and National Institute of Education at Samtse, under the Royal University of Bhutan; and later as a faculty and subject coordinator in Doha Modern Indian School (DMIS) in Qatar. Apart from teaching, he has a special interest in journalism, oratory and chess. Being an enthusiastic teacher, Mr Somarajan wants his students to excel in academics and to grow as creative and constructive leaders.
