A report on the 48th Platinum Jubilee Memorial Inter School Quiz & English Debate

The 48th Platinum Jubilee Memorial Inter School English Debate was virtually hosted by the school from 1st September to 3rd September 2021. Twelve prestigious schools of the country participated in it-Daly College Indore; Pinegrove School, Dharampur, Solan; Vidya Devi Jindal School, Hisar, Haryana; The Emerald Heights International School; Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun; Welham Girls' School; Yadavindra Public School, Patiala; Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer; The Scindia School, Fort Gwalior; Mayo College Boys School, Ajmer; The Punjab Public School Nabha and Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Gwalior. The Debate was spread into four Rounds- Preliminary, two Quarter Finals, and the Final Round in the British Parliamentary Debating Format. The Finals were held on 3rd September 2021 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Three experts, Mr Kartik Bajoria, Mr Dhruv Sharma and Mr Vibhor Mathur judged the Final Round. The Scindia School was declared the ‘Winners’ of the Competition. The Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer became the ‘Runner Up’. The virtual 48th Platinum Jubilee Memorial Inter School Quiz was virtually hosted by the school on 4th September 2021 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The famous Quiz Master, Mr Ajay Poonia conducted the quiz with fifteen schools participating in the Quiz- Daly College Indore; Pinegrove School, Dharampur, Solan; Vidya Devi Jindal School, Hisar, Haryana; The Emerald Heights International School; Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun; Welham Girls' School; Yadavindra Public School, Patiala; Mayo College Girls’ School, Ajmer; The Scindia School, Fort Gwalior; Mayo College Boys School, Ajmer; Lawrence School, Sanawar; The Doon School, Dehradun; Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls School; Birla Vidya Mandir and Pinegrove School, Subathu. Four top scoring teams entered the Final Round. Mayo College Boys’ School, Ajmer were declared the ‘Winners’ of the 48th Platinum Jubilee Memorial Inter School Quiz. Emerald Heights International School, Indore, bagged the second position and the Vidya Devi Jindal School, Hisar secured the third position.
