A group of six students and two teachers from St. Mark’s School, Southborough, USA, visited our campus for an exchange programme from 9th to 13th March, 2025. The students actively participated in both academic and hobby classes, engaging with their peers in a cross-cultural learning experience. Meanwhile, the history and religion teacher of St Mark’s School Ms. Kate Erickson took history classes, enriching discussions with her insights. Mr. Neil Cifuentes, Director of Global Citizenship at St. Mark’s School interacted with the faculty and students.
Beyond academics, the delegation explored the rich heritage of the region. They visited the historic milestones of the Gwalior fort, the magnificent Orchha Palace in Orchha, and the bustling street bazaar of Maharaj Bada, immersing themselves in local culture. A highlight of their visit was indulging in the diverse flavours of Indian cuisine, savouring meals in the dining hall, faculty houses, and the iconic Sheesh Mahal Restaurant in Orchha, at different times, an experience they thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated. The exchange fostered meaningful interactions, broadening perspectives on education, culture and history. Their visit strengthened the bond between the two schools, paving the way for future exchanges.
