Founder’s Day 2019 Final Day

The morning of the 21st of October, 2019 was special. The mark of the 122 Founder's Day was evident when Principal, Dr. Madhav Deo Saraswat, welcomed the DSP of 1994 batch, who also unfurled the school flag amidst the sound of the bugle and the old boys. The DSP of batch of 1994, addressed the gathering and confessed his believe in the young Scindians as the bright future of the nation. The morning Assembly concluded with the release of various publications. The round of exhibition for parents and guests was conducted at 11.30 am. The evening was full of radiance as the Prefects, in crisp Jodhpuri suits, welcomed the Chief Guest, eminent artist, Dr. Leela Samson and of course own very own, His Highness Maharaja Jyotiraditya Scindia and led them through the round of exhibitions.
The guests were welcomed with the most beautiful display of the Scindia School, the Brass Band outside the Shukla Memorial Open Air Theatre. The cultural evening started with the school song, followed by the vibrant School Orchestra. Principal, Dr. Madhav Deo Saraswat, presented the Report of 2019 and shared with the audience the achievement of the Scindia School being announced as the no. 1 Boys Residential School in the country.
His Highness Maharaja Jyotiraditya Scindia addressed the gathering and reiterated the vision of the Scindia School nestling amongst itself the leaders of tomorrow. His Highness spoke about the commitment to sustain the ethos of the school and reminded the young Scindians that greater success in life comes through helping and empowering others. He also mentioned about the climate change issues and threats that are distorting the environment and urged everybody to dedicate themselves towards achieving zero wastage and thus sustainable environment.
The Chief Guest of the evening, Dr. Leela Samson, thanked the entire fraternity for being splendid hosts and expressed her joy in being a part of such a wonderful event in a school that "believes in excellence". She shared stories about her diversified life experiences right from her childhood, owing to the fact of her parents belonging to different communities. Dr. Samson stressed on the notions of Bhakti, Shraddha, and Sadhana, and how these three shaped her life and personality. She left the entire gathering, especially the dynamic Scindians, with the message of preserving the Indian ethos and culture.
The Madhav Awardee for the year 2019, Mr. Tarun Bakshi, upon his address, asked the young boys to move ahead in life with conviction. He appealed to the Scindians to celebrate the notions of Innovation, Risk Taking ability, Perseverance and Hard Work as keys to success. Mr. Bakshi signed off from the podium by urging all the boys to nurture the habit of sharing and be the changemakers. The evening of the 122nd Founder’s Day concluded with a thematic dance performance by the students of the choreography society of the Scindia School.
