French Spell Bee Workshop

The Scindia School has always taken active steps to provide students with opportunities to learn French in creative and engaging ways, ensuring that language learning goes beyond the classroom. In line with this vision, a French Spell Bee Workshop was organized in collaboration with Le Frehindi, New Delhi, on 21 August 2025. The session was coordinated by our French teacher, Ms Mahima Nanda, who has been instrumental in introducing such innovative initiatives for the benefit of the students.
The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Devangi and Ms. Shrishti from Delhi, who introduced the concept of the French Spell Bee and its significance in building vocabulary and pronunciation skills. They also familiarized students with the format of the Pan-India French Spell Bee Competition.
Around 50 students from Classes 6 to 9 participated enthusiastically. The resource persons conducted mock questions, followed by an engaging word game. Four winners were rewarded with Vincent Van Gogh fridge magnets, which added excitement to the session.
This initiative has successfully broadened students’ exposure to French beyond classroom learning and motivated them to participate in upcoming competitions. It was indeed an enriching experience for all.
