The inaugural ceremony of the IPSC Band Competition 2025 was held on the morning of 16th October, 2025. The event commenced with the arrival of the Chief Guest, Col Uma Trikha (Retd.), a distinguished officer of the Military Nursing Service who served the Armed Forces for 35 years. She was commissioned in 1985 and has contributed immensely in the fields of Orthopaedic Nursing, Hospital & Healthcare Management, and Medico-Legal Systems. The Chief Guest declared the competition open.
Principal Mr. Ajay Singh extended a heartfelt welcome to the Chief Guest and all the participating schools. In his address, he highlighted the historical significance of bands in uplifting the morale of armed forces. He also shared a moving anecdote about the musicians aboard the ill-fated Titanic, who displayed remarkable courage by continuing to play their instruments until the very end.
The Pipe and Brass Bands of the participating schools marched in with discipline and pride, setting the tone for the competition. A total of nine prestigious institutions from across the country are participating in this year’s competition:

At the end of the band performances, the Chief guest in her address appreciated the harmony, discipline and hard work of the participants.
The two-day IPSC Brass and Pipe Band competition ended on 17th October, 2025 after a march past by the contingents of the participating schools. The teams were judged for their band display, discipline and uniforms by three esteemed judges who belonged to armed forces/ police. Dr Indu Mazumdar, Professor in the School of Sports Education, ITM University, Gwalior, Chief Guest of the closing ceremony gave away the awards.
