Junior Inter-House Indian Classical Duet Singing & Western Band Competition
03 February 2025
The Assembly Hall echoed with the soulful melodies of Indian classical music and the electrifying energy of Western band performances on Sunday, in celebration of Basant Panchami, as students showcased their exceptional musical talents in the Junior Inter-House Indian Classical Duet Singing & Western Band Competition. Indian Classical Duet Singing competition saw each house presenting a soul-stirring rendition of two classical songs based on a raag. From the delicate beauty of Raag Bhopali, with its heartfelt songs Piya Ki Nazariya Jadoo Bhari and Jahan Dal Dal Par, to the electrifying energy of Raag Bhim Palasi with Dam Mast Kalandar Mast Mast, and the classical flair of Raag Bihaag as the students brought their emotional depth to the timeless song Zindagi Ke Safar Mein, every performance captivated the audience.
The Western Band performances added another dynamic dimension to the competition, bringing a blend of rhythm, harmony, and high-energy musical expressions. Judged by Mr. Banerjee, our erstwhile music Hod and Mrs. Banerjee, with both classical elegance and contemporary beats taking center stage, the event was a true celebration of musical diversity.
