The inter-school π-Summit hosted by The Scindia School was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Niladri Chatterjee who is a Professor of Computer Science & Statistics in the Department of Mathematics, IIT Delhi. In his inspiring address, he reflected on the profound connection between Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence, urging the gathering to strengthen their grasp of fundamentals rather than relying solely on artificial constructs. He also introduced the thought-provoking concept of Perpetual Intelligence, which bridges timeless knowledge with modern innovation. The inaugural ceremony saw the lighting of lamp followed by a musical performance by the school orchestra.
The Guest of Honour, Mr. Gaurav Tekriwal, a distinguished authority on Vedic Mathematics, enriched the ceremony further by conducting a captivating workshop. His engaging techniques and practical insights into problem-solving left the young learners both enlightened and inspired.
This year’s summit witnessed enthusiastic participation from ten prestigious schools. Students showcased their ideas and interpretations on the given theme with remarkable clarity and creativity. The intellectual fervor reached its peak with the spirited quiz competition, “Pi Pi Ka Hisaab.” After rounds of sharp thinking and quick responses, The Scindia School emerged as the winner of the quiz competition, while Vasant Valley School, Delhi, was declared the Overall Winner of the π-Summit for their outstanding performance.
The π-Summit thus commenced on a brilliant note—blending knowledge, creativity, and competition—setting the stage for a rewarding journey of learning and discovery.
