Scholars’ Banquet for the Scindian Achievers

The XIV Scholars' Banquet based on the results of the Academic Year 2013-2014 was organised on 20th February 2015. The Chief Guest for this very special occasion was Dr Abhimanyu Acharya, an eminent educationist and an Old Boy, former Teacher and also a former Parent of The Scindia School, Fort, Gwalior. Dr. Acharya started teaching at his Alma Mater. He moved on to leadership work in education and is the Chair Person of AA Associates which he instituted. He started many schools in India and abroad. He took up assignments with various schools to conduct development workshops and to teach theatre arts.  He guides a good number of educational institutions serving on the Board of Governors, and has developed methodologies to provide need-based training to the staff of schools and colleges. He is the Educational Adviser to H.H. Sheikh Faisal bin Khalid Mohammed Al Qasimi of Sharjah,UAE and is the Founding Dean of the Royal University College, Sharjah. The first toast was raised by the host Vice-Principal, Ms Shalini Mehrotra for the Chief Guest. The second toast was raised by Akash Jaini (IX), for the scholars leaving the school. The third toast was raised by Rishabh Jain (XII), Academic Prefect, for the progress of the school. It was an honour for the scholars to interact with the Chief Guest. The students were distinctly motivated to maintain and improve upon their achievements in academics and to bring glory to the school. The Criteria for qualifying to attend the Scholars' Banquet is as follows: Classes VI to VIII: Students who have scored 'A' grade in all the subject in overall performance. Classes IX and X: Students who have scored CGPA of 9.0 and above in overall performance. Class XI: Students who have scored 90% and above in overall aggregate.
