Thursday, the 15th of November was a rare opportunity for the Scindia fraternity, as they witnessed a musical feast by the much talented “Char yaar” group under the aegis of The Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY). As the name suggests, the group comprised of four musicians – composer, vocalist and poet Madan Gopal Singh; guitarist and banjo player Deepak Castelino; sarod player Pritam Ghosal and multiple percussionist Amjad Khan. The group enthralled the audience with various forms of music ranging from folk to Sufi. Music has been an integral part of our culture since times immemorial and never fails in binding people with a common thread, irrespective of the language and thus is rightfully referred to as the universal language. The one hour long performance was magical to say the least and left the audience with a taste of good music. Vice Principal, Pastoral Care Ms Smita Chaturvedi took the opportunity of expressing her gratitude on behalf of the School to the group for such a stupendous performance and felicitated them with a token of appreciation.
