The event was hosted by The Scindia School from 28 September to 1 October 2022. Ten teams of renowned schools from all over the country participated in it- Vasant Valley School, Delhi; Emerald Heights International School, Indore; Punjab Public School, Nabha; Mayo College Girls' School, Ajmer; Sunbeam School, Bhagwanpur; Mayo College Boys’ School; Vidya Devi Jindal School, Hisar; Pinegrove School, Subathu and The Scindia School, Fort Gwalior. The 21st Maharaja Madhavrao Memorial Inter School Debate was conducted on 29 and 30 September 2022. The first round (Oxford round) took place in the afternoon. All schools participated in the second round (Turn Coat round) which was held in the evening on 29 September 2022. Four schools entered into the final round (Cambridge Round)- Vasant Valley School, New Delhi; Syna international School; Sunbeam English School, Bhagwanpur; Varanasi and the host School, The Scindia School, Gwalior. The topic for the final debate was: शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में बढ़ते तकनीक से गुरु शिष्य परंपरा का ह्रास हो रहा है। The Vasant Valley School was announced the Winner of the competition. The Scindia School became the Runner Up. The Platinum Jubilee Debate was declared open on 29 September 2022 by the Principal, Mr Ajay Singh. He extended his gratitude to all the participating schools and judges of the debate. The Platinum Debate’s Preliminary Round began at 11:30 am in the Assembly Hall and the Library. Out of the ten teams that participated in the Preliminary Round, six teams went to the semi-finals namely, The Scindia School (A), The Scindia School (B), Vasant Valley School, Punjab Public School, Emerald Heights International, and Mayo College Girls School. In the Semis, there were three debates held between- PPS and Vasant Valley, Scindia A and Scindia B and MCGS and Emerald Heights’ School. Vasant Valley and Emerald Heights School went into the Finals. Vasant Valley School won the debate and Emerald Heights were declared the Runner Up. The Platinum Jubilee Quiz was held on 1 October at 10 am in the Assembly Hall. The famous Quizmaster, Mr Ajay Punia conducted the quiz. The teams which went into the finals were: Mayo College Boys’ School, Vidya Devi Jindal School, The Scindia School, and Sunbeam School. The Scindia School won the Quiz and Sunbeam School were declared the Runners Up. But as is customary by tradition we, being the host school, handed over the trophy to the Runners Up. The prize distribution ceremony was held, and the teacher escorts and the judges were presented with mementoes and certificates. With this the event was declared closed by the Principal.
