Fresher’s Evening on 15th August 2013 brought the theatrical and musical talents of the new students to the forefront. The evening began with a devotional song, `Tumhi Ho Mata Tumhi Pita’ Ho by Parikshti Singh. Subsequently the choir sang the famous folk revivals, `500 Miles’ and ` She Will Be Coming Round The Mountains’. The magnetic vibes of soulful music could be felt in the assembly hall.
‘The Parable Of The Prodigal Son‘, an English skit, was highly appreciated by the audience. Next, Prince Kumar recited a self-composed poem, ` I Remember Those Days’. It was followed by a wonderful orchestra performance which included a medley of varied performances. The sound effect was simply incredible. The performance was indeed very captivating and it held everyone spell bound.
After that Anant Garg played a melodious tune `Papa Kehte Hai’ on a keyboard and sang along too. The perfect delivery of dialogues and committed acting were the highlights of the Hindi skit entitled, `Free Style Gawahi’ which was based on what happens in a court. Then Akshat Karwa sang a classical song, `Madhuban Mein Radha Nachi Re’. The highlight of the evening was a soulful song sung by Mr Bhavin Oja and he got a thundering applause. It was followed by recitation of a poem by Mr Akash Nigam, the new TT coach.
The programme was a huge success due to perfectly synchronized anchoring by Pranav Wadhwa and Sanchit Khanna. To conclude the Principal, Dr Madhav Deo Saraswat appreciated the talents of the new entrants to this home away from home and congratulated them for presenting a very entertaining evening. Dr Saraswat appreciated and applauded the enthusiasm and positivity shown by the freshers. They exhibited lots of energy and creativity in every aspect of the programme. He wished their creativity to remain intact and strengthen in the years to come. Dr Saraswat asked them to come on the stage.
This platform gave the new members in the Scindian family a chance to showcase their talent in the best possible way.
