Athletics

Athletics is a traditional favourite with the students of The Scindia School. The school has excellent facilities for track and field events, including sprints, hurdles, relays, jumps, and throws. Inter-House competitions are conducted in four categories. Both the Senior and Junior Houses are divided into two groups. Group A has students from classes X to XII and group B from classes VIII to IX.
The cross country race is integral to the athletics programme and in a broader sense to the lives of the schoolboys. Participation is compulsory. For Senior ‘A’ group, the distance is around 4 km, for ‘B’ group around 2 km, and for Junior House around 1km.
Inter House Athletics Finals are held on Founders’ Day. Certain events are organized for the parents and the Old Boys too. The Old Boys participate in the Closing March Past in decadal squadrons.
