Mr Pankaj Mishra, the latest entry into the fold, qualified with MSc. Mathematics, B.Ed., comes with a fresh face and a fresher perspective with an experience of thirteen years of work in various institutions such as the Army Public School, Sagar, Macro Vision Academy, Burhanpur and Birla International School, Kishangarh, Rajasthan where he was an HOD Mathematics’ and a CBSE Coordinator, Faculty of IIT. He is a dynamic tutor under whom a hundred students have qualified for JEE Mains. He is adept at guiding his students to crack competitive examinations such as CLAT, SAT, CPT and IIT-JEE. He is result oriented and wishes to make his students more competitive and practical. His key focus is to remove the fear of Mathematics from the minds of students and instill a love for it. He likes to connect mathematical problems with real life situations to make it appear more logical and motivates his students through pep talks. His mantra is all about self-confidence, positive attitude and good time management. He loves cricket and was the captain of his school cricket team. He has participated in theatre such as Nukkad plays. He is fond of singing, dancing and adventure sports.
Dr BS Bhakuni, is a senior faculty member of the Hindi Department with 28 years of
teaching experience at The Scindia School. He has done his Post-Graduation in
Hindi, a diploma in Linguistics from the Delhi University and a Ph. D on “Pant-
kavya ka manovaigyanik adhhyayan”.
Dr Bhakuni’s understanding of the CBSE Board pattern led to his being given the
responsibility of the Head examiner of AISSCE,CBSE Class XII Hindi since the past
seven years. For the last two years, he has also been involved with the making of
the marking scheme of the Class XII Board paper for the Ajmer zone.
A man of literature Dr Bhakuni is a gifted writer and poet with many of his
articles having been published in various magazines and periodicals.
As the Dean of Discipline and Student Welfare and Head of Middle School his
enthusiastic presence is a great motivation for the boys. His passion for social work has seen the Social Service League engage in several meaningful activities in the course of the year.
Mr Bakshis’s motto in life has been “The Scindia School before self”. Having spent 37 years in School, he has been involved in all spheres of School life and is looked upon as a role model by the students and teachers alike.
Mr Bakshi took his first degree from Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education in Sports in year 1976 and later pursued his second degree, a post graduation in Physical Education and Sociology. He was one of the fastest short distance runners of his time. But more compelling than his accomplishments, as impressive as they are, are the qualities of integrity, enthusiasm, determination, creativity, and passion for his work in school.
As a Dean of Sports he is responsible for providing leadership and vision to the Department of Sports in running the school Sports program. His endeavour has been to ensure that boys enjoy the sport/game of their choice to the maximum.
He often says “sports can have a powerful impact on the education and character of the students who participate; on the field one learns important lesson of winning and losing; allowing one self to lead and be led and to accept defeat with grace are the few important lessons which no text book can teach”.
He brings with him the leadership Skills, strategic Development plans, Media Planning and Management and event management. He is an advisor and is on the board of various schools for he specializes in upgrading sporting infrastructure.
